Ever heard of going from distressed to distressed? Well that’s what we did with an old pantry cabinet this week.
The cabinet was sitting out in Angie’s parent’s garage for years. Weathered, gouged and peeling it was in pretty rough shape.
It was naturally distressed from time and weather but we decided to give it a new life with a full refinish and then distressed it again!
Usually with chalk paint pieces you do not need to do much in the way of prep and sanding but this one was different. It was deeply gouged all over and had two coats of a very thick oil-based paint.
It took 3 hours of sanding and stripping but we got it as close to ready as we could.
We think it turned out great. Let us know what you think. Thanks for stopping by.
